After teaching in legal academia for close to a decade, Liz chose to move into private practice. She made this move to satisfy her passion for helping others, as well as to give back to the local Statesville community where she lives with her family. Her top priority is to build collaborative relationships with her clients in order to obtain successful and positive solutions; solutions that meet her clients' individualized needs. During her tenure at Wake Forest School of Law, she spent her time teaching, researching and writing about new trends in the law. She has published both journal articles and manuscripts on various legal topics, but now she focuses her practice at Crosswhite Law primarily on Medicaid and estate planning and administration. She is an active member of various law library associations, the National Elder Counsel and the National Wealth Counsel, and is licensed to practice in North Carolina. Liz attended UNC Charlotte, with a B.S. degree in English and graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2008 with a dual Juris Doctorate and Masters in Library Science, Summa Cum Laude.
